In the Spotlight

As Cruise Director, Marnie was in charge of the entertainment for the main theater and hosted every show performed on that stage - from production shows to guest entertainers. Each voyage would start out with a “Welcome Aboard Show” where she started off with an “ice breaker” and give the   audience an idea of what was to come.

As Cruise Director, Marnie hosted the “Farewell Show” on the last night of each cruise. Marnie worked with the Production Team to create something a little different to start the show but she never imagined it would require her running around the ship in a bathrobe and hair rollers!

Similar to the “Newlywed Game”, “Love and Marriage” was a very popular game show held on each cruise, most of the time to a packed theater. Guests had to “audition” for a spot on stage, so you never knew what they were going to say!

As a graduate of the Fleming School of Performing Arts in Oakville, it was an incredible honor when Marnie was asked to play the role of Master of Ceremony. One of the best parts of the “job” was watching hours of rehearsals in order to get ideas for the script she created.
